email2sms 'open sending'
The email2sms service works in two ways, 'pre defined' and 'open sending'. Using the service in 'open sending' mode allows you to send emails from one or more specified email addresses and have them relayed as an SMS text message to any mobile number. How does it work? From your sms2email account you would setup one or more email addresses (ie the email address of the sender) for which our system will allow email2sms relaying through your account. Once an email address is setup you can then send emails to... <any mobile number>@text.sms2email.com (eg. 07740123456@text.sms2email.com) The 'from address' for the email would be matched to your account and the first 160 characters of the email would be relayed on as an SMS text message to the specified mobile number. Your account will be charged 1 credit per text message sent for most locations. Some destinations are charged at higher rates (see click here. to view destinations and charges.
